Metro

Metro is a heavy commercial structured needlepunch carpet tile from Belgotex, built for high-traffic conditions and finished with an industrial-inspired aesthetic. New Floors Nation stocks Metro in five colourways: Moon Rock, Treasure Chest, Salt Water, Real Steel and Sky Grey, for South African projects that need resilient flooring with genuine visual character.

Made from Stainproof Miracle Fibre polypropylene, with recycled content used in selected colours, Metro is available as 50x50cm tiles on either an 8mm ResinBac or a 9.5mm NexBac backing, giving specifiers a choice of thickness and mass depending on the demands of the space. The tile shows strong colour fastness to light, wet and dry rubbing, and water, together with low electrostatic propensity and permanent static control, and has passed VOC emissions testing under GBCSA and GBCA standards.

Belgotex covers Metro with a 5-year guarantee and a 10-year warranty, manufactures it in South Africa, and certifies it to Green Tag Level A Gold. Installation follows the SANS 10186 fitting code of practice in a tessellated layout, and protector mats are recommended in areas with regular castor wheel use.
