Hercules

Hercules is Belgotex’s heavy-duty flat needlepunch carpet, supplied as both 4.2m broadloom and 50x50cm tiles through New Floors Nation for South African commercial projects that need to withstand sustained heavy traffic. The range takes its name from the Greek demigod known for strength and endurance, and is offered in seven colourways: Rhapsody, Zeus, Blackout, Parakeet, Helio, Athena and Irish Linen.

Constructed from Stainproof Miracle Fibre polypropylene, with recycled content used in certain colours, Hercules sits on a ResinBac backing at approximately 4mm thick with a total mass of around 712g/m2. It achieves a Class 2 fire rating under SANS 10177-4, has passed VOC emissions testing, and offers strong colour fastness to light, rubbing and water, together with low electrostatic propensity and permanent static control.

Belgotex backs Hercules with a 5-year guarantee and a 10-year warranty, manufactures it in South Africa, and certifies it to Green Tag level A Gold. Installation follows the SANS 10186 fitting code of practice, with tiles best laid in a tessellated format, and protector mats recommended in areas with regular castor wheel use.
