Berber Point 650

Berber Point 650 is Belgotex’s cost-effective entry into structured needlepunch flooring, available through New Floors Nation for medium and general commercial applications in South Africa. It is built using Belgotex’s Stainproof Miracle Fibre, a polypropylene yarn technology, with an Eco-content blend used in selected colours, and is offered in eight earthy and coastal tones: Plankton, Galleon, Coral, Kelp, Wet Sand, Crushed Shell, Blue Hull and Rock.

The product is available as broadloom in a standard 4.2m width or as 50x50cm tiles, giving specifiers a choice between roll goods and modular installation. On its ResinBac backing, Berber Point 650 measures around 6mm thick with a total mass of roughly 974g per square metre, and it achieves a Class 2 fire rating under SANS 10177- 4. Colour fastness to light, rubbing and water is rated strongly; static build-up is kept low with a rating under 2kV, and the product has passed VOC emissions testing for healthier indoor air.

Installation follows the SANS 10186 fitting code of practice, with 50x50cm and 100x100cm tiles laid tessellated and 25x100cm planks laid in a herringbone pattern. Belgotex supports Berber Point 650 with a 5-year guarantee and a 10-year warranty, manufactures it in South Africa, and certifies it to Green Tag Level A Gold.
