Fringe

Fringe is a medium commercial carpet tile from Belgotex, built around a distinctive loop pile texture and an organic, understated colour palette. New Floors Nation stocks Fringe for South African commercial projects seeking a softer, more tactile alternative to conventional patterned tiles, and the range pairs well with Belgotex’s Prime carpet collection thanks to a shared pile texture.

The eight-style range, Tassle, Beaded, Bullion, Pom Pom, Bind, Layered, Border and Frill, is manufactured from Stainproof Miracle Fibre polypropylene, with a Stainproof SDX nylon blend used in certain colours. Pile height varies between 2.5mm and 5mm, with a total tile thickness of around 7mm. Fringe is offered in standard 50x50cm and 25x100cm formats, with additional sizes and EcoBac backing available on request. It carries a Class 2 fire index rating, strong colour fastness to light, rubbing and water, and has passed VOC testing with a low electrostatic propensity.

Installation follows the SANS 10186 fitting code of practice: 50x50cm tiles can be laid tessellated, ashlar, brick or in a random pattern, while 30x120cm formats suit ashlar or herringbone layouts. Protector mats are recommended for areas with regular castor wheel use.
